JOHN 3:16 INFO SHEET

Pastor Terry Shuff of the Durham Outreach Ministry in Raleigh has invited us to be a part of their outreach. Also known as R.A.V.E.N (Restoring a Vision & Evangelizing Nations), they go to the streets, the highways and the byways, which is the heartbeat of John 3:16 Fellowship. They will be collecting Jeans for homeless men, women and kids. This really grabbed a hold of me and I thought this is something we can take part in.

Since 3:16 is taking on the project of collecting jackets, coats and blankets for men, women and kids we will also collect Jeans at the same time for the Raven ministry. They have asked that you put $1.00- $5.00 (or whatever you can afford) in the pocket of one or more pairs of Jeans.

We need people willing to head this project up in their schools, churches, women and men fellowships, health clubs etc. We will have designated drop off locations. We'd like you to ask your pastor, team workers etc, if you can put flyers and a drop off box in their facility. We will be happy to supply inserts for your church bulletins.

We also need each one of you to email a friend and introduce them to this project and ask them to email to others. It won't take much effort to make this project a success.

We will also be giving out Bibles and Promise books. (Love offerings are being accepted to help purchase the books.) A case of Bibles is $66.00. All offerings will be pooled together to purchase the materials. For those who would just like to give donations of any item or items, email 3:16 and we will be happy to pick up. Even if you can't physically join us in this project your donation of any kind is still honored by God. MATT 25:35-36

We would like to have everything collected by the end of January. Distribution will start the 1st of November 2009. John 3:16 will be helping with the distribution and all interested are invited to be a part (including your children). What a great way for them to see how blessed they are and to be a part of blessing others.
